“Guys, I just realized something. It’s called Take31 because it’s located on 31st Street.” – Alex “Woah. Mind. Officially. Blown.” – Weilun
It is an early Sunday evening, and I am sitting in the corner of a cozy Koreatown restaurant surrounded by seven of my Welcome Week friends, many of whom I had not seen since the first semester of college.
The dishes arrive quickly, one after the other, beautifully plated and hot to the touch. Two orders of Budae Jjigae, an army-inspired ramen dish, fill the air with a spicy aroma as they boil on hot plates in front of us. After we devour every last morsel of food way too quickly, the table is cleared, but we hang back just a little longer to share untold stories.
Before I head out the door, I tell my friends that this was the best meal I’ve had in a long time. The company probably had a lot to do with it.
