Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ

Date Visited: January 29th, 2017 | Address: 34 Cooper Square

“John, you’re the expert at cooking BBQ at 4 A.M. I trust you with the tongs.”

We sink our teeth into lean Toro beef, hot-oil seared salmon in citrus sauce, and deep-fried edamame potstickers. Kobe-style rib eye steak melts on our tongue in savory layers of juicy fat, tender meat, and sweet soy sauce. Glasses of Villagers’ Iced Tea, Kurosawa sake, and water clink together in celebration of a new semester on ICC.

Flames from the grill warm our faces; boisterous conversation warms our hearts.

Welcome to Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ.
